Rick Owens and Moncler Crafted a Refuge for FW24

Rick Owens has brought an avant-garde edge to Moncler since the start of the decade as the powerhouse duo continues to blend luxe performance with eye-catching silhouettes. Beyond the clothing itself, the two have produced special environments to serve as focal points of capsules. Previous works have included a tour bus and an isolation tank sleeping chamber that now resides in Owens' home.

This time around, a demountable mountain refuge takes inspiration from lodging designed by Charlotte Perriand and features integrated photovoltaic roof panels for energy generation, a stainless steel monocoque shell made up of 20 thermally-insulated panels that provide both structural integrity and heat retention, sustainable water and waste systems, and, of course, Moncler duvet nylon and felted wool blankets. The clothing range sees the duo return to Owens' penchant for quilting as his radiance motif adorns jumpsuits and bomber jackets. Oversized outerwear stands tall next to cropped parkas, offering rich diversity for fans to indulge in. Boots and trail sneakers are also spotlighted with co-branding and megalacing respectively. From there, cashmere-blended layers serve the season splendidly while a tight accessory range includes caps and socks.

The entire Rick Owens x Moncler collection is available to shop now via Rick Owens and Moncler. Prices begin at $310 USD for some of the headwear and go up to $11,800 USD for the one-size-fits-all Hooded Radiance Blanket.
