UK TV soap star arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing five underage boys

A TV soap star well known in the UK has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing five underage boys.

The actor, who can’t be named at this time, is understood to have been taken in by police after they swarmed his home.

According to reports by the Sun, who claim to know the identity of the person arrested, he has worked with some of the UK’s biggest names in TV and is known for a major soap role.

The outlet also reported that computer equipment and documents were seized and the arrest comes after an initial visit earlier in the month relating to allegations.

The soap star is said to be shocked by the accusations, which are believed to date back to the 90s, and denies them.

A police spokesperson said: ‘A man has been arrested on suspicion of historical child sex offences involving five victims. Officers investigating allegations relating to the 1990s detained a man.

‘He was arrested on suspicion of several sexual offences relating to five men who were teenage boys at the time of the alleged offending.

‘He has been conditionally bailed while enquiries continue.’
