Blossoms are currently out on a UK and Ireland headline tour, which will wrap up next month with their âFive Nights In Manchesterâ residency. The band are due to play five venues in the city with the likes of The Kâs and The Lottery Winners.
âGaryâ was produced by Blossoms’ frequent collaborator James Skelly of The Coral, alongside Jungleâs Josh-Lloyd Watson.
In other news, Tom Ogden and co. recently addressed rumours that they could be opening for Oasis on their 2025 reunion tour. Their new Derby gig clashes with Liam and Noel Gallagher‘s second Cardiff date, but they are currently free for the rest of the trek. Earlier this week, Oasis confirmed Richard Ashcroft as a “very special guest” at the UK and Ireland shows.
Speaking to NME recently, frontman Ogden explained: “Iâd like to think our name might be in the mix because why not? Weâve never shied away from saying how much theyâve influenced us.
“We went to watch them at Heaton Park when we were 16, and we kind of know them both. Iâm not going to get my hopes up, though, because, at the end of the day, itâs up to them. If we get asked, the bags are packed, and weâd smash it.”
In another conversation with NME in September, Ogden said Blossoms had “really taken the live show to another level” in the ‘Gary’ era.
“It does feel like weâve really stepped it up again,” he explained. “Thatâs important because I donât want to drift off into the abyss like so many other bands do. This album is helping us stand out from the crowd a little bit.”
Last week saw Blossoms reunite with Rick Astley for a live cover of Charli XCX’s ‘360’ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
In other news, Inhaler have teased that they will be announcing something at the end of the month.
