Coronation Street Joel Deering's killer 'exposed' after character's sudden exit

Coronation Street viewers believe they have cracked the mystery surrounding Joel Deering's murder. The lawyer, played by Calum Lill, was found dead just as he was about to face justice for his crimes, including grooming young girls like Lauren Bolton, portrayed by Cait Fitton.

Joel failed to appear at his plea hearing last month, leading to a warrant for his arrest. After transferring money to Lauren and his ex-wife Emily, speculation arose that Joel may have committed suicide.

However, his body was discovered in a river, and a post-mortem examination revealed that he was already dead before entering the water, sparking a murder investigation. The police have been working tirelessly to uncover who is responsible for Joel's death, with Mason Radcliffe, played by Luca Toolan, already questioned.

Mason was spotted disposing of a crowbar, the same weapon used to kill Joel, by officer Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, making him a prime suspect despite his insistence that the crowbar was given to him by his brother.

Yet, viewers are speculating that Stu Carpenter, played by Bill Fellows, might be the real culprit. The Speed Daal employee, keen on guiding troubled youth Mason, decided to leave Weatherfield for Germany with his granddaughter following a disagreement with Yasmeen Nazir, portrayed by Shelley King, reports Plymouth Live.

Coronation Street enthusiasts have been speculating wildly on a Facebook group dedicated to the show, with one viewer suggesting: "I think Stu did it. He handled Mason's crow bar and he disappeared and went to Germany very very quickly.

"I don't think it was Dee Dee. It is too obvious that it is her. I think there's a twist and It's Stu Carpenter. I think he finished Joel off to save Mason."

Another chimed in with agreement: "You might be right. I also don't think Stu went to Germany. He's gone walkabout." Meanwhile, a third fan simply commented: "Interesting."
