This Morning fans share same complaint over Cat Deeley's awkward quip

Cat Deeley shares admission about her weekend

This morning, viewers expressed that they "could do without" Cat Deeley's cheeky remarks when she opened the ITV show alongside co-host Ben Shephard.

On Monday's programme, the TV presenter revealed that she'd suffered an injury after a lengthy bike ride at the weekend. Ben asked: "Did you have a nice weekend Cat Deeley?"

As she told him: "I did but my bottoms a bit sore though," before quickly adding: "I was bike riding at the weekend." She began rubbing her buttocks, leaving her co-hosts Ben and Phil Vickery taken aback. Phil even placed his hand on his head, indicating he'd heard too much, but giggled to himself.

However, not everyone found the moment amusing. Many viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their discomfort, reports the Mirror. One person wrote: "Could do without hearing about Cat's sore a**e for f**k sake #ThisMorning."

Another comment read: "Get on with the show #ThisMorning," while a third person shared the same sentiment, adding: "Had enough of this s*** already."

Cat's comments were followed by host Ben, who also shared that he'd sustained an injury after participating in a Tough Mudder race at the weekend. Tough Mudder, the gruelling endurance event known for its 10-to-12-mile obstacle courses, can leave participants with more than just a sense of achievement.

Co-founded by Will Dean and Guy Livingstone, its challenges include daunting features tailored to exploit common fears such as fire, electricity, towering heights and vast expanses of water, certainly testing the mettle of those who dare partake.

Displaying the extent of his exertions, ITV star Ben, upon his co-star Cat's behest resulting in her cheekily conveying 'you're welcome' to fans, showcased a muscular bicep marred by an array of bruises acquired during his Tough Mudder challenge.

With a light-hearted spirit despite the evident pain, Ben quipped "it's nothing", regaling fans with tales of being soaked "in mud" while braving the notoriously intense course.

The charismatic presenter later mentioned an eerie incident from the previous week's programme involving a "spooky mirror" associated with bad luck injuries.

Pondering the possibility of his recent bruises being a curse from that encounter, he posited to Cat: "I wonder if I suffered at the Tough Mudder because I looked in that spooky mirror last week," Cat promptly dismissed Ben's suspicions with a humorous retort: "No, you do these things for fun, it's not the mirror."

This Morning airs on ITV1, from 10am, weekdays.
