’s unlikely friendship with has been well-documented, but there’s one thing the pair don’t have in common: he raps about sippin’ on “Gin and Juice”, but she hasn’t touched the stuff since college!

While Stewart, 83, is currently on the publicity trail for her 100th book, Martha: The Cookbook, her good friend Snoop, 52, is promoting his line of alcohol, Still G.I.N — and so the legendary businesswoman, TV star and writer, who graduated from Barnard College in 1962, says she is now considering giving the liquor another shot after 62 years of avoiding it.

“I got so drunk on gin in college that I have not ever had gin since,” she said to the rapper as he attended her book launch at the Food Network’s New York City Wine & Food Festival on Wednesday, October 16. “But I can’t wait to taste your gin and juice!”

Snoop also gave a speech to honor his friend. “We jumped off a plane and rolled straight here because we wanted to support [Martha],” he said. “We love everything she is about. We are real friends. This is not TV, this is not made up. We really care about each other. Martha, I love you, thank you and I appreciate you.”

In fact, she’s busier than ever: Her home brand is in demand and her 100th cookbook, Martha Stewart: The Cookbook is out in November. “I try to balance a whole lot,” the mogul told Us while promoting Pure […]

Stewart and Snoop have been close friends for 15 years, first meeting when he appeared on her eponymous show back in 2008. “Well, Snoop came on my show, and what was really charming about Snoop, first of all, was his giggle,” she told Sports Illustrated in 2023. “He giggles in a very, very nice way. And his quest for learning! He is a real student, and that’s what really appealed to me.”

Their next encounter came when they were seated next to each other at the hit Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber in 2015. “All he did was smoke, and everybody was in such a good mood and we were all roasting each other,” she said. “And luckily, Snoop’s secondhand smoke really kind of eased the pain for me a lot, and it was hysterical because I just felt, ‘Okay! I’ll go with the flow here.’ After, like, six billion views around the world, it turned out to be one of the best things – and it cemented my relationship with Snoop.”

Despite her aversion to gin, Stewart has featured gin and tonic recipes in some of her previous recipe collections — and in 2020, she revealed that Ryan Reynolds had gifted her with a bottle of his gin brand, Aviation, so perhaps the time has finally come to share a glass with her supportive rapper friend.
