Biffy Clyro announce limited edition vinyl pressings of first three albums
Biffy Clyro have announced limited edition pressings of their first three albums ahead of their âA Celebration of Beginningsâ tour.
READ MORE:Â Â Biffy Clyro interviewed: âWeâre doing our version of âAmerican Idiotâ â itâs called âScottish knob!âThe band’s six sold-out shows in London and Glasgow are in celebration of their albums ‘Blackened Sky’ (2002), ‘The Vertigo of Bliss’ (2003) and ‘Infinity Land’ (2004). The gigs will see the Scottish rockers â comprised of Simon Neil and twins Ben and James Johnston â commemorate their early days and will see them play one album in full each night along with a selection of tracks from their other LPs.

Back in August, Biffy Clyro took over the TK Maxx Presents Live at The Piece Hall in Halifax and performed a whopping 22-track set, marking their first performance since 2022.
The bandâs last full-length release was 2021âs âThe Myth of the Happily Ever Afterâ and in a four-star review of the album, NME shared: âWhat could have been a hodgepodge of would-be B-sides and ideas found down the back of the sofa has turned out rather differently. Yes, âThe Myth Of The Happily Ever Afterâ outshine its predecessor, but it could also â ironically â be the most cohesive Biffy album to date.â
The 2021 release followed on from Biffy Clyroâs 2020 LP âA Celebration Of Endingsâ which NME also gave a four-star review and described as âa record of extremes. At one end thereâs the Bring Me The Horizon-style, trance-driven apocalypse bop âInstant Historyâ; at the other thereâs aforementioned metal-meets-Mozart belter âCop Syrupâ. Itâs truly a statement for these dumpster fire times, but even if you put aside the lofty notions of rebirth, youâll be left with an album thatâs just really fucking fun. Let this album into your life and enjoy a blast of optimism. Maybe â just maybe â things are gonna be alright.â
In recent years, Neil has been busy with his long-mooted grindcore side-project Empire State Bastard with Oceansizeâs Mike Vennart, Slayerâs Dave Lombardo and Bitch Falconâs Naomi Macleod â releasing debut album âRivers Of Heresyâ last year.
