Tahj Miles opens up about 'scary' transition from Death In Paradise to new BBC drama
Tahj Miles has shared his concerns after bidding farewell to Death In Paradise.
Tahj's character Marlon Pryce became a hit with viewers. Marlon, who turned his life around from a troublesome youth involved in minor crimes to becoming a valued member of the police force, ultimately moving to Jamaica following a heartwarming send-off on the show.
His departure from Death In Paradise came when Marlon decided to accompany his sister to Jamaica to support her education. The character was initially introduced to the audience in a redemptive storyline where he joined the police under a rehabilitation scheme.
Thanks to encouragement from JP Hooper, his mentor, and with backing from Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, Marlon secured a position within the Jamaican police team.
Eager to diversify his acting portfolio, Tahj is taking on a new project with the BBC entitle Mr Loverman. The drama tells the tale of Barrington, who plans to reveal to his wife his secretive, enduring affair with his best friend and soulmate, Morris.

Tahj will star as Daniel, Barrington's 17 year old grandson, who wrestles with his own set of fears, reports Wales Online.
The actor opened up to Radio Times: "When I booked the job, it was just a good feeling to know that I can book something else other than Death in Paradise. But then it was nerve-wracking because I've just been in the head of Marlon for four years, so to jump into a whole different character who has his whole different problems and things he has to go through, it was scary."

"This last series was always going to be my last series, I had talks with the BBC, and with Red Planet, the production company and we all agreed that it just felt... if it was in my heart, like if it was just a heart decision, I'd have wanted to do it for 20 more years," he explained.
"But just for the show, and... for my character Neville, it just sort of felt like his story... it deserved to be sort of finished and his sort of journey... sort of deserved to be completed and he deserved a nice happy ending and so it just felt right."
*Mr Loverman airs on BBC One at 9pm on Monday October 14.
