Wyndham Clark has responded to Tom Kim's 'extreme' behaviour and played down the influence he and his International team-mates had during the recent Presidents Cup in Canada.

The American golfers triumphed at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, besting their International counterparts with a final score of 18.5-11.5 after an impressive performance in the Sunday singles. The week saw a tighter contest, leading to an intense showdown on Canadian turf.

Tense moments were abundant throughout the four-day event, with 25 year old Tom Kim, participating in his second Presidents Cup following his debut in 2022, frequently in the thick of it.

Kim, who tussled with Scottie Scheffler on the first day, teamed up with namesake Si Woo Kim for a heated match against Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele in the Saturday afternoon foursomes.

The Kims made headlines when Si Woo sank an outstanding bunker shot on the 16th and celebrated with Steph Currys famous "Night, Night" gesture.

However, two holes on, the Kims suffered a defeat by Cantlay and Schauffele. Clark, observing from the side, couldn't resist parodying the "Night, Night" gesture himself.

Later, Kim escalated matters by alleging that members of Team USA had directed expletives at him and his team=mates.

Paul Tesori, the caddie for golfer Tom, revealed to SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio some intense moments from the course: "I witnessed three [incidents] where members of the U.S. team emphatically got personal with Tom and cursed at him and got very personal."

Not long after, US golfer Clark shared his perspective with Golf Digest's The Loop Podcast: "Earlier that morning [Keegan Bradley] and I played Tom and Si Woo.

"And we witnessed them making tons of putts on us and playing unbelievable and then obviously witnessed all of the celebrations that they were doing.

"And then just some of the other antics that maybe people weren't seeing on TV, that obviously just kind of gets you to where you're a little frustrated because some of it was extreme, in my opinion.

"Some of it seemed a little fabricated and so it almost didn't seem authentic, especially for someone that's usually pretty quiet, and so it almost seemed like they were trying to do something.

"So we could feel that. And so [Keegan] and I lost, they beat us fair and square. They played unbelievable."

He also touched upon the incident involving Si Woo at the 18th green, implying that his reaction was warranted given the International team's provocative celebrations against his teammate Tony Finau.

He continued: "He did that right in front of Tony Finau and I. And we looked at each other. We're like, 'It's a tight ball game. I don't understand why you would do that? '

"And then we go to 18, obviously, and we both were sitting there and we're like, 'Man, if we win this hole, we're for sure giving them we're putting it right back in their face'."
