5 firefighters injured after van hits fire truck

Police on Friday said five firefighters were injured after a van collided with a fire truck in Tseung Kwan O. Officers said the fire truck was passing by Clear Water Bay Road in the morning, when a wild boar suddenly jumped into traffic and was hit by a private car, which killed the animal. The fire truck then made a stop to alert other vehicles, but a van failed to stop in time and collided with the fire truck, injuring five firefighters. They were sent to the United Christian Hospital.
