Formula 1 Announces New Partnership with Hot Wheels

Formula 1 has teamed up with Mattel's Hot Wheels in a multi-year global licensing partnership to create F1-themed Hot Wheels products, with the first already available for pre-order.

The collaboration kicks off with the release of a limited-edition F1 car, now available on Mattel's official site, featuring a unique Hot Wheels livery and the number 68 to mark the toy brand's founding year. This 1:64 scale model boasts a full-metal body chassis, interchangeable tires and a bespoke F1 casting design. A complete range of Hot Wheels F1 models, featuring team cars and additional products, is expected to launch in 2025. In addition to the product line, Hot Wheels will be integrated into select Formula 1 Grands Prix events starting in 2025, with fan-focused activations and exclusive retail opportunities.

"This collaboration with Mattel will bring together the adrenaline of motor racing and the excitement of toy cars," said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of F1. The same sentiment was shared by Hot Wheels VP Roberto Stanichi, who said "The partnership with Formula 1 is a natural and exciting fit. It’s more than just creating die-cast cars; it’s about bringing the thrill of F1 to our loyal fan base worldwide."

It's worth noting that the first collectible car available, priced at $25 USD, is a pre-order and is not expected to ship until on or before June 27, 2025.
