Netflix's teen drama Outer Banks has made a comeback with the first five episodes of sesaon four released after over a year's wait.

JJ's real parents are revealed

In the closing scenes of episode five, JJ (portrayed by Rudy Pankow) locates his father Luke (Gary Weeks), who is residing with Barracuda Mike (Justin Matthew-Smith) but must leave quickly as Sheriff Shoupe (Callum Moss) arrives.

It is then at the lighthouse that Luke makes an unexpected confession, telling JJ that he and his mother are not his biological parents.

Luke admits that JJ's real parents are the late Larissa Genrette and Chandler Groff (J Anthony Crane), making JJ a born Kook.
