Question Time fans were left saying the same thing moments into the BBC show.

On Thursday, October 3, Fiona Bruce hosted the programme in Dundee, where she discussed the UK’s most pressing political topics with experts and politicians.

The BBC presenter was joined by the Scottish Government's Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth MSP, the Secretary of State for Scotland, Ian Murray MP, Shadow Energy Minister Andrew Bowie MP, Deputy Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats Wendy Chamberlain MP, and the writer Iain Macwhirter.

On today's show, the panel discussed how Prime Minister Keir Starmer faced public scrutiny after receiving £6,000 worth of freebies from wealthy donors since taking office. He is reportedly in the process of repaying these gifts.

This repayment includes six tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, four tickets to horse races, and a clothing rental agreement from a luxury designer. The Prime Minister stated that it was "right" for him to cover the cost of certain gifts.

An audience member critised Mr Starmer, saying: “It's fascinating for me how much honesty goes on at the Government when it comes to gifts, because these are personal gifts as far as I can see.”

“It's only Keir Starmer that's wearing the suits. It's only him going to the Taylor Swift concerts.”

Ian Murray who is the Labour MP for Edinburgh South was then quick to claim that “there is no dishonesty here,” adding: “There is no lawbreaking here. This is all transparent on the public register.”

The audience member then argued back saying “does it affect his tax returns?” before she destroyed Sir Keir by saying “he knows about every penny that I have got”.

However, fans were not pleased with the choice of topic. One viewer fumed: " Are we still talking about Kier Starmer’s money/spending? Honestly, I do not care. There are BIGGER issues I’d rather hear being discussed. This feels petty…#bbcqt."

A second person added: "Why are we discussing Keir’s sleeve when there are thousands of innocent women and children being butchered by Israel under the guise of self defence?? #bbcqt."

A third person chimed in:"#bbcqt Meanwhile the middle east is a powder keg waiting to set the world on fire but Nooooooooo let's bang about Taylor Swift tickets."

A fourth person said: " Hadn't heard such a ludicrous amount of handwringing in a long time....it is obvious that politicians will accept hospitality and gifts at times & the real issues are 1) Is it publicly declared and 2) Is it lawful? Everything else is froth & nonsense. #bbcqt."
