Golf Pride Celebrates 60 Years of Goldfinger With James Bond Collaboration

In a now iconic scene from the 1964 movie Goldfinger, James Bond takes on nemesis Auric Goldfinger in a tense golf match, thwarting the villain and his cheating tactics with his own piece of trickery. Tipping its cap to the beloved movie on its 60th anniversary Golf Pride has announced a new collaboration with the James Bond franchise and its rights-holder EON Productions. The 13-piece set of grips pulls from 007's signature style, but does so without sacrificing the performance people have come to expect from Golf Pride.

The grips are broadly designed to evoke the tuxedos that Bond has been known to wear at dinner parties and high stakes poker games but use a variety of patterns and textures to arrive at the final result. The lower half is embossed with repeating 007 logos, while the top hand appears as a white dress shirt adorned with a grosgrain bowtie. Textured lapels, gold accents and the famous gun barrel logo tie everything together, so to speak.

The kit of 13 grips also comes with an additional commemorative grip and a gold bar display case, but there's still one more nod to 007 lore that dedicated fans may appreciate. The collection was shot at Stoke Park in England, the club where the showdown between Bond and Goldfinger was shot over 60 years ago. And naturally, it was only right to pair with the Aston Martin DB5.
