Mercedes Mone Says She Looks Forward to Someday Facing Athena

– During the latest edition of her Mone Mag Newsletter, AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone praised ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and said he looks forward to facing her one day. As noted, Athena recently surpassed a huge milestone becoming the longest reigning champion in ROH history. She surpassed the previously held record of 645 days for Samoa Joe as ROH World Champion.

Mercedes Mone said on the champion (via Fightful), “I’m so proud of Athena! She is one of the best in the world she’s definitely a champion I look forward to facing one day.”

Athena last wrestled on ROH HonorClub TV last month, beating Aleah James in a Proving Ground Match. Mercedes Mone defended her TBS Title earlier this month against Hikaru Shida at AEW All Out 2024.
