Sunday Bruch star Tim Lovejoy in awkward blunder as guest forced to step in

Sunday Brunch: Tim and Simon introduce their guests

Sunday Brunch presenter Tim Lovejoy left fans in hysterics as he made a hilarious blunder on the Channel 4 show.

During the latest episode on Sunday morning (September 15), Tim and his co-host Simon Rimmer were joined in the studio by Lucy Beaumont, Pixie Lott, Blossoms, Gary Lightbody, Ellie Leach and Sophia Warner. But things took a funny turn when Tim made a mishap.

Labelling the famous boat HMS Belfast, HMV Belfast, Tim was quickly corrected by his co-host Simon. He was then forced to quickly rephrase what he was saying.

Talking to guest Gary, Tim said: So Gary, by the way you were at HMV Belfast yesterday. How was that, was that good?" He added:"We've got a picture of it there, here you go."

However, Simon was on hand to let him know that it was HMS. Giggling at Tim's minor mistake, Gary told the presenters that he still had a good time regardless.

Taking to X formerly known as Twitter, some viewers also picked up on the slip-up. One viewer said: "That HMV/HMS joke was literally the funniest thing I have ever ever heard we are so f*****g back. I want to cheer."

Sunday Brunch returned to screens on the weekend after a short hiatus during to the 2024 Paralympic games. Earlier this month, fans were left gutted when they realised their favourite Sunday was axed.

Frustrated followers quickly took to the comments section at the time to express their annoyance over an eleventh-hour programme change announced on their Facebook page.

A viewer expressed their irritation, writing: "Oh no... that's thrown my routine of the window ... cats are going to miss Petflix," while another chimed in with their discontent: "Missing Sunday Brunch this morning, look forward to next week."

Two other fans voiced their disappointment in similar tones, saying: "What am I going to do Sunday," and "Nooooo! ! What am I going to do tomorrow morning now," supplementing their comments with disheartened emojis.

Some commenters simply left a succinct "Noooo," capturing their displeasure with the last-minute schedule shift on Channel 4.

Sunday Brunch airs Sundays from 9:30am on Channel 4.
