BBC Breakfast star says 'I thought I was going crazy' as she's forced to correct blunder

BBC Breakfast: Sarah corrects Roger as he gives viewers wrong time

BBC Breakfast's meteorologist Sarah Keith Lucas was forced to correct her colleague Roger Johnson as he made a slip-up with the time on the morning show.

During Sunday's programme (September 15), Roger was back on the famous red sofa alongside his co-host Luxmy Gopal. Covering the latest news headlines from the UK and across the globe, later on in the show, the pair handed the reins over to Sarah for another weather update.

But Roger made a mishap forcing Sarah to correct him quickly. While introducing Sarah he said: "Quater to eight. Let's get a check on the weather if you're just peeking out from under the duvet. Morning Sarah, how's it looking?"

Appearing rather confused, Sarah replied: "Well I think it's not looking quarter to nine Roger. It's quarter to eight."

Startled, Roger said: "Oh did I say quarter nine?" Chiming in, Luxmy was quick to compliment Sarah saying she never misses a trick.

Sarah then added: "I thought 'Am I going crazy?' Don't worry everyone," as she laughed off the small mishap.

On Saturday's edition of BBC Breakfast, Sarah joined presenters Naga Munchetty and Ben Thompson for the news show. But Sarah was left stunned when Naga playfully told her that she is often to blame for bad weather reports.

Sharing how she no longer needs to complain about the weather at the moment, Naga jokingly said that she often points her finger at Sarah when things are not to her liking.

Naga said at the time: "It's been a while Sarah that I haven't whined at our forecasters and I'm not whining at you today."

Trying to understand Naga's stance, Ben chimed in and said: "Because it's all their fault." Naga replied jokingly: "Yes, particularly Sarah's!"

Sarah responded: "I mean a try but it doesn't always work out." Naga then said: "Keep trying harder. Try harder, you're doing better today!"

She then giggled and introduced what was coming up next in the show. Ben also appeared to laugh at Naga's brash comment too.

Later on, Ben and Naga jokingly clapped for Sarah, following another positive weather forecast. Naga then said: "There you go Sarah, another round of applause for you!"

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
