Furious Strictly Come Dancing fans ask BBC same question as Kai among dropped pros
Furious BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans have hit out at the BBC after Kai Widdrington and several other fan favourites were dropped from the series.
Pro dancer Neil Jones got a celebrity partner for only the second ever time, paired up with Toyah Willcox, while pro Michelle was also given the chance to shine and Luba Mushtuk was given a celebrity for the second year running, partnered with DIY SOS legend Nick Knowles.
But Kai Widdrington, Nadiya Bychkova’s now-ex, missed out for the first time in years as he was not given a celebrity to dance with by show bosses.

Kai Widdrington has been dropped along with two other pros this year (Image: BBC)Viewers fumed as Lauren Oakley and Carlos Gu were also dropped from the main part of the show and were not given celebrity partners, while the legendary longest serving pro was lumped with an unenthusiastic Paul Merson.
Of course, Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima have both parted ways with the show following controversy earlier this year and are not part of the pros lineup at all, while Aljaz returned to the series after several years away.
Nadiya Bychkova will have a partner this time around though, dancing with Olympian Tom Dean.
Fans were fuming about the snub to Kai and asked how the BBC works out who to partner.
