Everton have already made decision on sacking Sean Dyche if they lose to Aston Villa

Everton manager Sean Dyche's job is not under threat if they suffer a defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

Everton have yet to secure a point this season, and a loss at Villa Park would mark their fourth consecutive league defeat - a first during Dyche's 20-month tenure.

Despite some fans calling for the return of former manager David Moyes - who enjoyed an 11-year successful stint with Everton before moving to Manchester United in 2013 - the club remains supportive of Dyche.

Even if Everton lose against Villa, Dyche's position will remain secure as club chiefs recognise his past work in staving off relegation at Goodison Park.

Last season, despite a rocky start with only one point from their first five Premier League games, Dyche successfully ensured Everton's survival in the league.

The club acknowledges the deep frustration among fans following the disappointing loss to Bournemouth, where Everton squandered a 2-0 lead with just three minutes of normal time remaining. They understand the fans' desperate desire for progress on the pitch, after being embroiled in the relegation battle for the past three seasons.

However, even if Everton suffer another defeat, the club will not weigh up Dyche's future. The Mirror report they firmly believe that under Dyche's guidance, the club is moving in the right direction.

They support Dyche's strategy of rejuvenating the squad with younger, promising players while only signing older players on short-term contracts.

The team's performance is believed to be stronger than their results indicate, having been competitiveness against Brighton before they controversially had a penalty decision overturned. They also held a deserved 2-0 lead against Bournemouth until they imploded.

The club are confident that better results will follow, especially with the return of England centre-half Jarrad Branthwaite from injury. His absence has been felt during their challenging start.

The club, currently in takeover discussions with John Textor, commend the work of Dyche and director of football Kevin Thelwell - having cut the wage bill and limited spending on transfers.

Furthermore, they have generated sufficient income from the transfer market to alleviate any concerns about further points deductions by the Premier League for PSR breaches. Dyche and Thelwell have brought in around £20million this summer, primarily through the sale of Belgium midfielder Amadou Onana to Villa.

They have utilised the loan market to sign or re-sign Jack Harrison, Orel Mangala, Jesper Lindstrom and Armando Broja. The club believe they are in a stronger financial position now than a year ago.
