Bargain Hunt: Stall owner tells blue team to 'get out'

A stall owner appeared furious during the latest instalment of Bargain Hunt after one team insulted an item they had for sale.

The hit daytime programme was back for another nail-biting episode on Wednesday (September 11) with presenter Christina Trevanion leading the way. But the show quickly descended into chaos as one team failed to mince their words while looking for valuable items to sell at auction.

Julie and Sandy were in today's blue team and were up against red team members Deborah and Julie. But when the blue team headed to a stall in Shepton Mallet, they seemed to cause offence.

As expert Thomas Forrester showed them a small wooden item which could be used as a toy or something to store plants, the blue team quickly pointed out faults. Julie said: "I think the damage is too much, I wouldn't want that."

One of the team members then said: "I think it's dull!" After hearing quite enough, the shopkeeper shouted: "No! Get out, get out!"

Embarrassed, by their display Thomas said: "I'm so sorry," as he walked off in a huff. Although the owners laughed it off, some viewers at home failed to see the funny side.

One viewer at home wrote: "This blue woman is sooo rude. What’s wrong with her?" While others now wanted the red team to win.

But despite some complaints, the blue team had a victorious finish which left everyone on the show stunned. Julie and Sandy picked up a colorful vase while shopping and purchased it for £80.

At auction the vase was sold for £260, giving the blue team a profit of £180. Although they made a small loss along the way, the blue team had a total profit of £189.

Beating the red team, who only made a profit of £38, host Christina was blown away. At the end of the show, she said: "This hardly ever happens!

"Not only do I have pockets bulging with money. For both teams, I have golden gavels as well!"

After witnessing the blue team's success, some viewers were quick to compliment them. One spectator wrote on X: "A good result all round, yes!" While another added: "Well done ladies."

Bargain Hunt airs weekdays at 12:15pm on BBC One.
