“7D7D is a trio that’s changed the way I feel and enjoy music,” shared Commerford in a press statement. “Whether it’s the crazy drum patterns or next level guitar beauty, I feel lucky to be a part of this band. It’s been life changing for me. I know that if I walked up on 7D7D somewhere I wouldn’t leave.”

Polonsky added: “We’ve been recording music for the last two or three years via email, but since my move from NYC to LA in January, we’ve been practicing pretty steadily. It feels really thrilling to be finally getting out there performing live for the people.”

In his own statement, Wakrat shared: “It’s exciting to finally hear these songs live, they sound way better than expected.

“It’s the most fun music project I’ve ever been a part of for sure.”

Commerford concluded that he was “proud to be a part of this artistic fighter jet that never stops teaching me. I’m lucky to be with players like Mathias and Jonny. Plus, we’re at war and I need to sing about it.”

According a press release, the band are also planning to continue releasing new music. Their last release was February single ‘Insignia’.

Earlier this year, Commerford said he was unsure about Rage Against The Machine’s current status, after drummer Brad Wilk suggested they had split up.

“I don’t know. I don’t get involved in that,” he said during an interview with Rolling Stone. “I’m the bass player. I just wait for someone to tell me what to do. Brad said what he said, but he’s one step above me. He’s in the No. 3 spot. I am the low man on the totem pole. That’s all I can tell you. I’m the bass player. The bass players always are the last people to find out about shit like that.”

Rage Against The Machine were due to hit the road again on the North American leg of their ‘Public Service Announcement Tour’ in February 2023, but the band were forced to cancel the shows after de la Rocha injured his achilles tendon during a 2022 show.
