Marvel Is Reportedly Eyeing Destin Daniel Cretton To Direct 'Spider-Man 4'

It looks like another Tom Holland-led Spider-Man film is on its way and Marvel is reportedly eyeing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings's director Destin Daniel Cretton. According to Variety, a source close to the production of the sequel of Shang-Chi has confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is currently the studio's priority. Cretton is currently in the middle of developing the sequel to Shang-Chi.

The ending of the most recent 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home saw Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange appear to cast a spell that caused the world to forget Peter Park was Spider-Man, meaning that Zendaya's MJ and Jacob Batalon's Ned would forget Peter Parker ever told them who he was.

While the plot has not yet been confirmed, the reports confirm that Holland will be returning to another Spider-Man film. So far, Sony and Marvel have not commented on the news. Stay tuned for more information.
