Astro Bot Will Get Free DLC Later This Year, Including Speedrun Modes

Astro Bot will receive free DLC later this year that focuses on speedruns. More VIP bot cameos will also be added for players to rescue.

"You know it’s not going to be like, you know, a huge, huge amount, but it will be focusing on one of the features that people enjoyed in Astro's Playroom. That was the speedruns," said game director Nicholas Doucet in an interview with Quest Daily. "You know, there were some speedruns, and the levels were quite short, but it was the fact that you could replay and keep shaving time off with some new VIP bots to rescue, so some characters we didn’t include yet will appear."

He also confirmed that the speedrun content will also include leaderboards. Additionally, the team is creating more challenging levels as well as considering content that feels more "toy-like" and can be experienced by players at any skill level.
