Lorraine talks about her daughter's body confidence

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has expressed her immense pride in her daughter Rosie after she reached a big milestone.

Rosie welcomed her first daughter Billie into the world just a few weeks ago and has taken to social media to show off her post-partum body. Lorraine, who is now a grandmother following the birth of Rosie's daughter, praised her daughter for helping others when she posted an honest snapshot of her post-childbirth figure on Instagram, promoting self-love and body positivity.

Rosie's mirror selfie, just one week after giving birth, captured attention and inspired others to appreciate their bodies as they are. Lorraine showcased the photo during her show's body positivity feature, reports the Mirror.

On her programme today, Lorraine shared: "I'm so proud of her. I think she looks absolutely beautiful. That is how you look when you've had a baby! I'm very proud of her for doing that, and that was what was so good as well is that she got an amazing reaction."

After posting the image, Rosie took to social media with a message that resonated with many: "Never thought in a million years I'd post a pic of me in my pants on social media (especially disposable ones) but here we are ...

"This is one week after the birth and I kind of expected my tummy to be more jelly by now and thought I'd be in absolute bits about how I look but it's not even a thought just now - it's grown a life and brought our Billie into the world."

Reflecting on old photos from before her pregnancy, she realised that her perception of herself has changed, adding: "I've been looking back on pictures pre-pregnancy where I thought I looked horrible but now I think I looked totally fine - so 'true' what people say about looking back and then thinking how silly you were being at the time. Finally have a positive relationship with my body - just taken 10 months of carrying our girl."

She continued: "I wish I'd been more kinder to myself and in the words of Moira Rose 'take a million pictures of yourself naked'. I was also prepped for my boobs being huge but WOW."

Lorraine airs on ITV from 9am.
