The Weeknd performed in São Paulo, Brazil to usher in his new era, where he brought out rapper Playboi Carti to play a number of songs â watch footage of the performances below.

The new tracks, set design and concert will all build up to his new album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, which will serve as the third and final chapter to his ongoing âAfter Hoursâ and âDawn FMâ trilogy.

Before the São Paulo concert, The Weeknd also unveiled the artwork for ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ on social media. It features a simple close-up shot of his face, a departure from the facial prosthetics seen in his âAfter Hoursâ era. No release date has been confirmed.

A statement about the new album said that it ârepresents the creative apex of the project, serving as the third and final chapter crafted with existential and self-referential themes as seen with the latest visionary teasers that have set fans ablaze with anticipation for this concluding instalment.â
The final addition to the trilogy will mark the first album from The Weeknd since 2022âs âDawn FMâ. In a four-star review, NME wrote: ââDawn FMâ feels like the first steps on a journey for The Weeknd to find peace with himself; perhaps next time we hear from him, heâll be fully embracing the light of day.â
