James Martin's Saturday Morning guest points out error

James Martin was quick to deflect the conversation on his Saturday Morning show after one guest highlighted a slight mistake. While speaking to Countryfile star Jules Hudson, James was quick to ask about his hobby of furniture making, which has turned into a business venture.

As James spoke, he was preparing a genoise sponge dessert for his guest, which Jules seemed to be distracted by. He commented: "I'm just in awe of watching you guys doing what you're doing!

"I mean, if your happy place is the kitchen, then mine is my workshop. Always loved furniture making and then this year I started to study it."

Giving viewers an update on the dish he was preparing, James warned fans that what he was about to demonstrate may be controversial to some.

He commented: "I would add butter and then the flour, sieve the flour. Take your hands rather than a spatula. I was always told by a pastry chef, that the quicker you get it in the oven, the better it is."

As Jules enthusiastically told him to get his hands stuck into the mixture, Judy Joo seemed a bit unimpressed.

While the ITV chef was mixing the batter by hand, Judy was quick to highlight a slight mishap.

She commented: "Oh look at your bracelets!"

It appeared as though James forgot to take off his jewellery, which was getting covered in the mixture.

He replied: "Judy, you're not supposed to say that!"

Judy and Jules burst out laughing as the host jokingly scolded her.

However, he continued to stir the batter with his hands, ignoring the fact his bracelets were being covered in the mixture.

Jules questioned if James was using his hands to be able to feel the mixture properly to see if the consistency was correct.

Speaking about his method, James asked: "Do you remember the two fat ladies?

"I always remember they were the first people on TV to do this with their fingers and I just said, 'That's the way to do it!'. You feel the mixture, look."

In the end, Jules and Judy were pleased with the ITV presenter's dessert, thrilled by the delicious creation.

Jules said: "I love that!"
