Emmerdale dead icon's return 'confirmed' after nine years - and Tom King should be worried

Emmerdale: Tom King speaks to Amelia in The Woolpack

An Emmerdale legend has hinted at a comeback following a dramatic twist in the Tom King abuse plot.

Over the past few months, viewers have seen Tom (James Chase) abusing and gaslighting wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

She has since walked away from the marriage after realising his true colours and recently reported him to the police. However, Tom has shown no signs of letting her go, resorting to desperate measures, including setting up cameras inside her house and installing software on her laptop giving him access to everything she looks at.

The sicko also reached a new low when he appeared to murder her dog Piper - leaving Belle devastated. And in recent episodes, it was revealed that Tom is now dating Amelia (Daisy Campbell) - leaving Belle horrified and scared for the youngster.

Knowing what Tom is really like, Belle has tried to warn Amelia but Tom managed to twist things - making Belle look jealous and paranoid. However, following Tom and Amelia's new relationship, a former Emmerdale star has spoken out.

In a new social media video, Kelli Hollis, who played Ali Spencer on the ITV soap from 2011 to 2015, revealed that she is "not happy" about their romance. Fans will recall that Ali was Amelia's mother - and after leaving in 2015, the character was killed off-screen in 2018 after getting in a car accident, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Kelli Hollis, best known for her role as Ali Spencer in ITV's Emmerdale, has taken to TikTok to express her shock at her on-screen daughter's latest romance.

"Amelia! Amelia! What is going on at Emmerdale?" she exclaimed, before adding: "Yes, it's me your mother, from heaven. What are you doing Emmerdale?! I knew you'd do this! I knew you were going to put him with my Amelia."

Hollis, referencing an article about the controversial pairing, continued: "What are you trying to do to me?! Poor Amelia. So she's lost me her mum, her aunty, god knows where her brother is, her dad's in jail, and now they've got this lunatic?"

The actress then hinted at a possible return to the Dales, stating: "Come on Emmerdale you can't do this to me. I can't keep sitting and watching and not be able to do anything anything about it! So I guess I'm going to have to tell her from the grave. Amelia, stay away from him! Don't make me come back and haunt you," she joked.

Hollis wrapped up the video by sharing her disapproval of the storyline. "I called this, about three weeks ago. I knew it. Not happy Emmerdale, nope!" she declared.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
