Escape to the Country: Jules warns buyers to get their skates on

Escape to the Country host Jules Hudson offered some sage advice to two house hunters, warning them not to miss out on their dream property.

In a recent episode of the popular property show, Jules was there to guide Nickie and her daughter Emma through their house-hunting journey. Nickie and her husband were keen to relocate closer to their son and grandson in Suffolk, to enjoy more family time, even if it meant leaving daughter Emma behind.

The pair viewed two properties in Ipswich, a town in Suffolk, but it was the third mystery house that truly caught their attention. The terraced property provided the space Nickie desired, along with breathtaking countryside views.

Towards the end of the show, Nickie revealed that the third property was her dream home, perfectly located. She shared her joy with Jules, expressing that it could be a "beautiful home" for her and her family.

Nickie explained her unexpected affection for the house: "Contrary to what I would have expected, the mystery house, I've fallen for big time! I was adamant that I wanted a detached property," reports Wales Online.

"But location, the garden, there's a lot of potential there. I think we could make it into a beautiful home."

Emma also shared her father's thoughts on the property, saying: "I think I said that it was spectacular. I sent him a few photos, from our reaction he's quite eager to come and have a look."

Jules didn't hesitate to give some sage advice, remarking: "Well guys I am delighted. But what I will tell you is that rural properties are selling like crazy at the moment, so you will have to get your skates on, I suspect.

"Let us know how you get on and if you do, who knows we'll be back sooner than you think to see how you're getting on."

Yet, as the programme progressed, it emerged that the hopeful family had unfortunately missed out on their dream abode, as well as a second property they had taken a shine to. Having revisited the properties, both were snapped up in quick succession, leaving Nickie and her partner without time to put forward an offer.
