New Emmerdale promo teases upcoming 'explosive' events

Emmerdale is set for an explosive week as a barn fire puts many lives at risk.

Fans of the long running ITV soap have seen Moira Dingle's (played by Natalie J.Robb) health deteriorate dramatically in recent episodes, but when an innocent moment with Nate Robsinson (Jurell Carter) is blown out of proportion her behaviour spirals.

Next week, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) spies his wife Moira and son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) from an awkward angle and is convinced the pair have kissed - he immediately looks for an explanation. But he beats up his son Nate triggering flickers of de ja vu in Moira's head.

Shocked and stressed by the events, she slaps Cain to which he leaves. It's not long until Ruby fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) arrives at the barn to gloat but soon feels sorry for Moira when she's unresponsive to her jibes.

As stressed Moira spills tractor fuel in the barn, Ruby's voice begins to blur with her old nemesis Emma Barton's, who Moira killed back in 2017. An unrecognisable Moira raises her shotgun at a freaked out Ruby.

It's not long until a stressed Moira padlocks the barn, seeing Emma instead of Ruby.

But the situation takes a worrying turn when Moira fires a warning shot into the air, frightening Ruby, as the shot hits a light bulb, causing a spark to take hold.

A tussle for the shotgun ends with Moira dazing Ruby with a blow to the head. It's not long until a hazy and shaken Moira comes out of her daze, leaving her confused.

The barn quickly catches fire as Moira freezes next to Ruby’s body. Seeing the smoke coming from the barn at a distance, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) tries to get in touch with Moira.

A call from Mack informs Cain, Caleb Milligan (William Ash) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) of the fire and they speed off toward the barn. Exchanging a worried look when they meet at the barn, Mack and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) both to go inside.

Cain, despite his current anger with his wife, races to the burning barn and panicking Chas tries to hold him back from dashing inside to get to his wife.

With them trapped in the burning barn……before long a huge explosion throws them all to the ground. Will they all survive the terrifying ordeal?

Speaking about forthcoming barn explosion, Moira actress Natalie J.Robb teased the fire may lead to the death of one villager.

The actress told, The Express, and other press: "Moira has no idea what she’s doing. The gun comes out and suddenly the PTSD comes out. She then starts to see Emma’s face on Ruby’s face, Ruby doesn’t know what is going on, I have totally lost the plot."

Natalie then added: "There is an explosion and maybe not everybody gets out of the explosion!"
