Tipping Point star's four words to describe new series as he shares 'real' experience

TM: Ben announces new series of Tipping Point and The Chase

The premiere of ITV's hit quiz show Tipping Point this week saw one contestant, Ross Lannon, eager to disclose his thoughts on the Ben Shephard-hosted spectacle.

Three contestants battle it out for a fortune in the latest episode with Ross, Clifton, and Caroline stepping into the limelight. Although Caroline bowed out early with a modest £200, Clifton surged ahead, pocketing an impressive £2,000 after skillfully releasing a cascade of 14 counters.

Meanwhile, Ross trailed with a respectful £1,050 but had a memorable three-word summary about the exhilarating experience. He took to social media platform X formerly known as Twitter and posted: "Oh hey @benshephard!

"So I've been sitting on some news... and can finally reveal that I will be a contestant on ITV's #TippingPoint TONIGHT at 4pm!"

Ross didn't hold back his enthusiasm, summarising his appearance as "a lot of fun" and encouraging viewers with "So tune in if you can."

Fans were indeed charmed by Ross on the show, with heaps of praise and playful comparisons flying in from social media enthusiasts, reports the Daily Star.

One watcher was struck by his resemblance to soap opera icon Daniel Osbourne from Coronation Street, played by actor Rob Mallard, commenting: "We're watching now Ross. You look a lot like Daniel on Coronation Street! ".

Opinions varied among followers, with some drawing parallels between Ross and comedian Jon Richardson, while others found hints of the animated adventurer Tintin in his likeness.

Ross was sadly eliminated, while Clifton advanced to the final round to vie for the jackpot prize though not without securing a mystery prize of a cocktail subscription and £1,650 first.

He joyfully confessed: "It's been great!" as host Ben hailed him "an absolute dream".

However, despite the excitement of a new series launch, some fans were disgruntled to find the show repeating questions, with one viewer taking to Twitter to express their disappointment: "It might be new but they're repeating the questions."

Another viewer grumbled on social media: "Typical #tippingpoint question to start."

Meanwhile, other viewers couldn't contain their laughter at some of Clifton's incorrect answers mistaking Adobe for a famous magician and incorrectly calling 'God Save the Queen' a "hymn".
