Girard-Perregaux has gradually unveiled a duo of horological offerings over the course of Geneva Watch Days. From the newly-iterated Tourbillon With Three Flying Bridges to a stunning rendition of the La Esmeralda Tourbillon in “A Secret" Eternity Edition, the latest unveilings serve as testaments to the Swiss Maison’s mastery of intricate complications as well as craftsmanship.
Tourbillon With Three Flying BridgesNew, yet familiar, the Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges is the latest addition to Girard-Perregaux’s renowned Bridges collection. Attired in a 44mm-sized pink gold case, the piece proudly displays its signature unconventional openworked dial. With the eponymous bridges, barrels and tourbillon all in clear view, the timepiece offers a truly mesmerizing display of its mechanical prowess and complex inner workings.
Geared with at least 60 hours of continuous running power, the GP09400-1273 self-winding movement is equipped with a white gold oscillating weight — equally viewable through the open caseback. Priced at $171,000 USD, the Tourbillon With Three Flying Bridges is complete with a black rubber strap with a textile-like appearance.
La Esmeralda Tourbillon "A Secret" Eternity EditionAlso a new addition to the Bridges collection, La Esmeralda Tourbillon ‘A Secret’ Eternity Edition features an elaborately engraved dial crafted with the help of skillful artisans. An alluring spectacle both on the front and on the back, the piece shows off a Grand Feu enamel dial with hand-guilloché, topped with a radiant sunray finish.
Meanwhile, its caseback boasts a pink gold and honey-hued enamel cover depicting an engraved scenery of galloping horses against a fluted patterned backdrop. The cover can be opened, revealing the watch’s sapphire caseback, where one can take a closer look at the GP09600-2083 movement inside. Priced at $447,000 USD, La Esmeralda Tourbillon “A Secret’” Eternity Edition is available in limited production of 18 pieces.
