Oasis fans react to pre-sale and tickets appearing online for inflated prices

Oasis fans have been reacting after pre-sale tickets for their 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour went on sale last night (August 30).

Noel and Liam Gallagher came together earlier this week to confirm a massive run of comeback shows, dubbed Oasis Live ’25. All upcoming shows are due to be held next summer, where the trek will see the brothers perform on stage together for the first time in 16 years.

Concerts are lined up for Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and yesterday (August 29), additional dates were announced for Manchester, London and Edinburgh in response to “unprecedented demand”. The full list of ticket prices was also published online.

Tickets for the pre-sale went on sale from 7pm BST last night for three hours.

Despite huge demand, many fans did manage to secure tickets with one writing: “Was very fortunate and managed to get tickets to @oasis with the presale which is genuinely amazing on its own, but not having to wake up at 3 AM makes it even better.”

Another added: “Oh my god that was one of the most stressful hours I’ve ever had in my life but I got the tickets in the end!”

One wrote: “GET THE FUCK IN This time last week I was getting ready to see Liam at Leeds. Now I’ve got Oasis tickets.”

But some weren’t so lucky – and many were angry after seeing that many tickets were being listed online for more than £6,000.

One wrote: “Makes me blood boil that I didn’t get oasis pre-sale tickets and yet there are people already selling tickets on ticket tout sites for like £700 a piece.”

Another added: “15 years wait and a ticket system that is rushed. Clearly the presale tickets didn’t go to genuine fans for the most part. The fact there are so many tickets available on rip off ticketing sights is disappointing.”

“Fucking joke. Absolute disgrace of a system we have to deal with 9 minutes after presale opened Oasis tickets already on resale Cunts,” one wrote.

It led the band to release a statement on their social media channels urging people not to resell tickets at higher prices on websites not linked to their promoter, and said they would be “cancelled”.

The statement said: “We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale. Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets.

“Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be cancelled by the promoters.”

Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST/8am IST this morning (Saturday August 31) – you’ll be able to buy yours here (UK), and here (Ireland).

Ticketmaster has outlined its strict rules for purchasing tickets – confirming that customers will only be able to order four tickets per household and card. Additionally, Oasis have partnered with resale platform Twickets where fans can buy unwanted tickets for no more than face value (plus booking fees).
