Man Utd team news: Predicted XI vs Liverpool with Garnacho, Fernandes and Ugarte calls
Manchester United host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday (kick-off 4pm) after suffering last-minute heartache against Brighton last weekend. Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag will be desperate to bag three points against the 2019/20 champions and could face difficult questions if his side are defeated for the second time of the campaign.
United were lacklustre in front of goal during their opening two matches but could be handed chances to find the back of the net against a more open Liverpool side.
Ten Hag won’t be able to call upon new signing Manuel Ugarte for the clash, however, as the midfielder wasn’t registered before Friday’s 12pm deadline.

Defence: Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, DalotTen Hag is struggling for options at left-back, with Luke Shaw still ruled out with a calf injury. Diogo Dalot should continue to deputise for the England international, with summer signing Noussair Mazraoui lining up on the right side of defence.
Mazraoui’s former Bayern Munich team-mate Matthijs de Ligt is in line for his first Red Devils start after coming off the bench in the first two matches of the campaign. The Netherlands international could be named alongside Lisandro Martinez at centre-back, with Harry Maguire missing out.

Midfield: Casemiro, MainooCasemiro was widely expected to depart Old Trafford over the summer and was tipped to secure a transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
But he has remained in England and started against Fulham on the opening day of the season before being named in the team once again for the trip to Brighton.
Casemiro will cling on to his jersey for the visit of Liverpool but is likely to lose his place to Ugarte after the international break. The Brazilian should partner Kobbie Mainoo in midfield.

Further forward Ten Hag will have plenty of decisions to make, with Alejandro Garnacho hoping to usurp Amad Diallo on the right wing. The Argentina international had a delayed start to pre-season after featuring for his country at the Copa America but has looked threatening off the bench this season.
Bruno Fernandes could be shifted to a more natural No. 10 position after featuring as a false nine, with Joshua Zirkzee coming in as United’s frontman.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag will demand more of Marcus Rashford from the left wing, with the England international failing to hurt teams during the early part of the season.
