Yellowstone shares the first look at pics from season 5 part 2 without Kevin Costner
The Dutton siblings are taking centre stage in the first images from the final episodes of Yellowstone season 5, set to return to the ranch this November. However, Kevin Costner's rugged patriarch John Dutton is notably missing, which will take some getting used to.
Yellowstone is a hugely popular drama from the minds of Sons of Anarchy's Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The Montana-based series launched back in 2018, where viewers were introduced to the Dutton family for the first time.
The drama has since seen the Duttons continually fighting off various enemies in an attempt to preserve their land - and now they’re returning to our screens once more. In the first-look pictures released by Paramount Plus, fans can get a sense of what is to come in part two of Yellowstone’s fifth season.
Power couple Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) are seen standing tall in one snapshot from the upcoming season, while Attorney General Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) is pictured holding a press conference alongside former governor Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz) in another.
In one image, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), his wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille), and his son Tate (Brecken Merrill) appear to be doing well after their car accident, while Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and his right-hand man Mo Brings Plenty gaze into the horizon in another snap.

One more photo shows Rip caring for his adopted son, Carter (Finn Little), as he lies in bed.
It remains uncertain how the final half of the fifth season will address the absence of patriarch John Dutton following Costner's departure from the series.
The sombre nature of the teaser trailer for part 2 suggests that John may become collateral damage in the deadly feud between siblings Beth and Jaime.
Costner confirmed in June that he would not be able to continue with the rest of the season due to his commitments to the Horizon film franchise.

Costner may be out of the picture, but the Dutton legacy continues, with Sheridan broadening the Yellowstone universe with a series of spinoffs, including The Madison, which is set in the present and features Michelle Pfeiffer as a matriarch who moves her family from New York to Montana.
In the latest surprising development from Sheridan, talks are reportedly in progress to continue the flagship series with a season 6 focused on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler.
The second part of Yellowstone season 5 returns to Paramount+ on Nov. 10.
