Celebrity Race Across the World Freddie Brazier makes heartfelt confession about late mum

RATW: Freddie admits he has no memory of mum Jade Goody

Celebrity Race Across The World's Freddie Brazier was emotional as he opened up about his late mother Jade Goody.

The 19-year-old confessed to having "no memories" of his mother, explaining that his knowledge of her comes from YouTube videos and documentaries.

Jade Goody, who rose to fame on Big Brother, passed away in 2009 at just 27 years old after a battle with cervical cancer. At the time, Freddie was only four, and his brother Bobby was five.

In the latest episode of the BBC series, Freddie, accompanied by his father Jeff, found themselves leading the pack, topping the leaderboard.

However, emotions ran high when Freddie decided to honour his mother for Mother's Day, reports Wales Online.

Opting to spend the day in Salvador, they chose a picturesque spot in town to watch the sunset and reflect.

Freddie shared with viewers: "I lost my mum when I was four and that was on Mother's Day, which is really hard. I don't really like showing my emotions. I don't even speak to my dad much about my mum either. I just avoid it. I prefer to bottle it up."

He continued, expressing his struggle with grief: "I don't want to feel like I'm a burden to them. A lot of my memories that I have of my mum have come from watching a documentary, YouTube clips, newspapers, they are not my memories."

Tearing up, he shared: "I don't really remember being held by my mum. If I had more memories of her, it would have made it a whole lot harder for me. But I think I would rather not really remember the things that I had done with my mum. It's just life really and I've kind of accepted that."

While gazing out at the scenic vista, Freddie remarked: "Maybe Mum's pushing us in the direction of where we need to go."

Jeff said: "Thank you, Mother Nature."

Viewers were touched by what Freddie said and shared their support for him on social media. One viewer commented: "Jade would be so proud of her boys and what they've achieved in their life, and Jeff is such an amazing father you can see that he just wants the best. #CelebrityRaceAcrossTheWorld."

Another shared: "Jeff and Freddy's relationship in this is absolutely everything I love about this show! #CelebrityRaceAcrossTheWorld."

And yet another said: "I'm sorry but I absolutely adore Jeff and Freddie. Such a brilliant, sweet father and son pairing. I am backing them 100% - who could ever want any other team to win? #CelebrityRaceAcrossTheWorld."
