All The New Switch Games Surprise-Released Today After The Nintendo Direct

Almost 10 games and updates out today for Nintendo Switch!

Nintendo's August Partner Showcase brought information on a bunch of games and updates released for (later) today. Many of the updates and games on this list were released right after the showcase, but everything on the list will be live by the end of today.

Balatro: Friends of Jimbo

Balatro is back, but this time with a bunch of new friends to join the fray. The free Friends of Jimbo update brings The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Among Us, Vampire Survivors, and Dave the Diver to this year's beloved card game. Each crossover brings its corresponding mechanics and themes to Balatro that change the gameplay, add new cards, and showcase all-new visual effects.

Peglin

Originally created in a game jam for the game's first version in 2019, Peglin is a roguelike pachinko-inspired turn-based RPG. The goblin main character will be fighting enemies head-on, while it is up to the player to destroy pegs and orbs to deal damage in enemy encounters. Different orbs initiate widely different effects, like splitting into multiple pieces or piercing through obstacles to cause serious damage. Peglin is a timed console exclusive.

PICO PARK 2

Pico Park 2 is a two-to-eight-player puzzle-action-platformer. With friends, grab keys, catch butterflies, and pilot an aerial vehicle to destroy a ship, while dodging sprays of bullets. The game has more levels than its previous iteration, with local and online multiplayer. No matter the number of players available, all levels are still playable, and only one Nintendo Switch console is needed to enjoy the puzzling fun.

Pizza Tower

The Wario-Land-inspired platformer Pizza Tower makes its debut on Nintendo Switch. As Peppino Spaghetti, players will be using Peppino's agility and strength to destroy the pizza tower and save his restaurant from destruction. Peppino will need to scale the wild floors of the pizza tower, acquire toppings, and bash monsters before escaping.

Europa

The moon Europa has been discovered by Zee, an android. Players will be able to glide, soar, and fly with Zee's jetpack to discover the secrets of this fallen utopia. Mountains, lakes, snowy environments, and dangerous ruins are to be explored while players uncover the story of the last human alive. By mixing in themes of humanity coinciding with nature, this gorgeous game's demo is available right now, with a full release later this year.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

Time to paint again with Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. Epic Mickey: Rebrushed remakes the original game with better graphical fidelity and improved controls. Paint and breathe life back into the Wasteland with Mickey's paintbrush and encounter characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. If players missed out on the original Epic Mickey, they can download the demo and/or preorder the game to receive a costume pack and 24-hour early access.

Castlevania Dominus Collection

Another Castlevania collection heads to the Nintendo Switch with the Castlevania Dominus Collection. The Castlevania Dominus Collections packages the Nintendo DS games, Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. Outside of the DS titles, Haunted Castle Revisited makes its debut, which is a redesigned version of the first Castlevania arcade game. The Dominus Collection adds all-new art, rewind functionality, quicksave features, and more quality-of-life upgrades to the famed DS titles in the series.

Goat Simulator 3

The sequel to 2014's Goat Simulator is here on Nintendo Switch. Local and online co-op allows players to bring a friend to explore Goat Simulator 3's island, cause mayhem, solve quests, and harass denizens. Goat Simulator 3 has gotten seasonal content on other platforms for a few years, and all of the previous seasonal content is also available on the Nintendo Switch version.
