Emmerdale's Dawn Taylor downfall 'sealed' as viewers 'work out' revenge twist

Emmerdale: Rose revealed to be Dawn's mum

On Monday's instalment of Emmerdale, ITV viewers saw tensions at an all-time high as Dawn Taylor (played by Olivia Bromley) wasted no time in confronting her dad Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

It comes after she learned that he got her mum, Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) to flee the village once learning her sinister plan to take down Kim Tate (Claire King).

Kim and Will drove Rose to the middle of nowhere and left her with a wad of cash, telling her to find her own way from there before leaving her alone.

However, a car was seen pulling up not long after, which was revealed to be Dawn, confused as to why her mum was going without saying goodbye.

When Rose's belongings were later found abandoned on the ground, there was a huge fear that something had happened to her, especially with Dawn knowing who had tried to run her out of town.

However, Dawn played none the wiser and lied to her dad, explaining that her poor son Evan could need a bone marrow transplant and wanted to get in touch with Rose to see if she was a match.

Will continued to play dumb and act as if he hadn't heard anything about Rose leaving, which Dawn furiously confronted him about on Monday night as viewers saw a series of flashbacks unfold.

Admitting she knew everything about what had happened, she told Will that once she found Rose on the road she dropped her off at the airport, although it appears that she never made it on a plane.

Reeling that Kim and Will have continued to lie, Dawn is adamant that they've done something to her mum and moved out of Home Farm, calling off her relationship with them.

It wasn’t long before viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the situation, with many highlighting Dawn’s dad knows a huge secret about her, which he could end up using against her in the long run.

One person wrote: “Has Dawn forgotten she killed that bloke who Kim buried on her land? Short memories.”

Another person commented: “Dawn is such an ungrateful cow, dad literally covered up a murder for her and she’s like I hate you!!!"

“Dawn needs to remember who is buried on Kim’s land,” tweeted one viewer.

Commenting on the situation, someone else added: “I don’t remember Dawn being so judgemental when her dad and Kim helped her hide the body of the man she murdered.”

Another fan said: “Will needs to remind her about the body that's buried.”

While one viewer commented: “Oh Dawn get off your high horse. You killed someone hid the body and let Kim sort it for you. You sponge off her and live with your whole family in her home. Whiny mare.”

Emmerdale fans will remember Dawn was the person responsible for the death of DI Malone (Mark Womack) with Kim and Will helping to cover it up.

However, the mystery surrounding Rose's disappearance remains.

Emmerdale continues weekdays on ITV from 7:30pm
