Hospital Authority hails HA Go app performance

The Hospital Authority (HA) says its HA Go app has reduced waiting times at specialist out-patient clinics with the vast majority of patients being able to leave within two hours. "We want to keep the patients and not make them stay in our specialist clinics for more than two hours, which was not optimum in the past, but now more than 80 percent of them can achieve this target," said Larry Lee, the Hospital Authority's manager of cluster performance. Launched in 2019, the app's functions include appointment booking and queue monitoring. Lee added the HA would continue to expand the app's functions, such as in the areas of telehealth and outreach services. The authority says the app has been downloaded over 3.3 million times and its user base has grown to more than 2.6 million.
