Coronation Street fans 'convinced' child villain will 'harm' Dorin as Alina makes exit

Corrie: Tyrone tries to find out if Dorin is his son

Coronation Street's Friday episode (August 23) saw a dramatic turn of events for Tyrone Hobbs as he was left with full-time care of toddler Dorin. But is the child in danger? The latest episode of the ITV soap witnessed Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) leaving Weatherfield to ensure her son Dorin's safety in an emotional scene.

Alina has only recently returned to the cobbles after a surprise encounter with her old love rival Fiz Dobbs (Jennie Mcalpine) in a car park.

It was soon unveiled that Fiz's husband Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is the father of Alina's son, Dorin. Fans will remember that Tyrone and Alina had a romantic relationship a few years back, and before Alina left, she insisted she wasn't expecting a baby.

Her brief return to Weatherfield was purely to provide evidence in court as a human trafficking group leader faces trial, during which she disclosed Tyrone as her son's father, reports the Manchester Evening News.

As the court case progresses, Alina is expected to give a statement reflecting on her experiences as a victim of modern slavery.

However, in a worrying twist, she has started receiving menacing phone calls, indicating that the traffickers might be trying to scare her ahead of the court date.

In Friday's episode (August 23), Fiz expressed concern that Tyrone spending time with Alina could rekindle their old flame. When Alina arrived at No. 9 with Dorin, she told Tyrone that she feared she was being watched.

As Alina prepared for her court appearance, she was ambushed by the thug from the hotel bar who stormed into her room, warning Alina against testifying.

The confrontation left the young woman terrified, leading her to go into hiding and temporarily leave Dorin with Tyrone and Fiz in an attempt to ensure his safety.

However, Hope has already voiced her dislike for her younger half-brother Dorin, and was not pleased with the news of his temporary stay with the family.

Now, some viewers of the popular soap are speculating that Hope might harm Dorin in a chilling plot twist that could see the teenager leaving the cobbles.

One fan took to X and posted: "Dorin should be more concerned about what Hope is gonna do to him than the gang.. #Corrie."

Another viewer commented: "Child murderer incoming #corrie . Hope versus Dorin", while another added: "Do you really trust Hope to babysit Dorin even for 15min? #Corrie."

"You all need to make sure Hope doesn't hurt Dorin. She's beyond teen angst. Way too jealous of the baby. #Corrie", one fan pointed out.

"Anyway, let's just see how Hope reacts now the baby has to stay with them", another viewer remarked.
