Lorraine: Ranvir tells Andi off for using his phone on air

Ranvir Singh left viewers chuckling when she told off her ITV Lorraine colleague live on air exclaiming, "What are you doing, you're on TV! " as he was caught scrolling on his mobile phone during the broadcast.

Subbing in for Lorraine Kelly on Friday (August 23), Ranvir returned from a commercial break only to spot co-star Andi preoccupied with his phone.

She swiftly chided him, which smoothly segued into a light-hearted piece where Andi promoted various ITV shows in the running for a National Television Award.

Finding him on the NTA voting site, Andi confessed to feeling "spread thin" owing to his numerous on-screen roles, including a stint on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Shows like Loose Women and This Morning, which feature Andi promoting competitions, have also been nominated.

Amidst outlining upcoming segments, Ranvir was sidetracked by Andis antics, calling out, "Andi's in the studio! Andi. Andi! " until he responded bewildered: "Yeah, what?", reports the Mirror.

Ranvir challenged him with a playful "What are you doing? You're on the telly!" only to have Andi jest: "Well you know me, Ranvir. I spread it thin. I work on many, many shows, don't I? One of my shows is up for a National Television Award, so."

Ranvir responded humorously: "Oh, I see. Just voting for yourself?" to which Andi retorted: "Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway? I'm on that as well! So cast your votes now ladies and gentlemen. Vote that's what it's all about."

Andi Peters was repeatedly urging viewers to back Ant and Dec's programme, adding humorously: "Which I'm also on!" until Ranvir Singh had to cut him short with a jibe: "All right Kamala!" teasingly referring to US presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who is actively campaigning for votes.

Subsequently, Andi and Ranvir were in close quarters but Ranvir confessed her unease until Andi drew her into an embrace, jesting that shes had "three weeks hard work" covering for Lorraine Kelly.
