Bargain Hunt: Presenter speechless over huge profit Antiques expert Nick Hall has been a star on Bargain Hunt for more than 10 years. The antiques and fine art auctioneer and valuer has been a regular expert on the BBC for around 15 years after he first made his TV flogging debut on the show's sister series Flog It! as a guest host in 2006.Nick was first an auctioneer on Bargain Hunt but he was asked to join the show as an expert. He now regularly appears on the BBC series, working with the red and blue teams to try and find a hidden treasure and make a profit.

Away from TV, he works at the estate agency Henry Adam’s auction arm as Director of its Chichester Saleroom. Nick has more than 30 years of experience "dealing with all aspects of Antiques, Fine Art, 20th Century Design, Collectors items and Contemporary interiors".

It's no wonder Nick has become one of the most valued members of the BBC antiques team. But what about his time away from the cameras and his family life? This is what we know.

Is Nick Hall married?

Nick Hall is a largely private man and he does not publicly share details about his personal life. He has previously confirmed in interviews that he has a family and children, but has not revealed if he is married.

One of his children, Dan, is married after he tied the knot in a village ceremony in June 2022. Nick has however spoken about how important family life is and how vital it is to spend time with loved ones.

Revealing how he likes to spend his spare time, Nick told the BBC: "Spending time with my kids, family and friends is important, and I love to travel around and explore the hidden gems in the UK. Our country is beautiful, diverse and steeped in history - if the weather is fine, you can’t beat it.

"Further afield I love France, their food, culture, wines, and exploring and antique hunting their unspoilt old towns and villages, and of course the gem that is Paris."

He added: "I also like to keep fit, with long walks along the coast where I live, treks and hikes in the hills, swimming, and am currently embarked on learning a martial art called Krav Maga."

On his X social media profile, Nick shares some items up for auction, praising some fine art or behind the scenes photos of filming for Bargain Hunt. Nick went on a trip across Italy and Croatia this summer and shared: "Have fallen in love with this beautiful ancient city, its welcoming friendly people, and superb local food & wines. Thank you, Split, Croatia"

When asked what he loves doing in his spare time, he said: "A good red wine, buying antiques and art that I don’t need or have room for, cream teas and a fab meal out – or ideally a day that involves all four!"
