Netflix Drops Chilling Teaser for Ryan Murphy's True Crime Anthology 'Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez' Story

True crime aficionados are soon in for a treat. Netflix, Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan have dropped a chilling teaser for the upcoming second season of the true crime anthology series Monsters. As a follow-up to Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, the next part of the anthology series titled Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, follows the 1996 conviction of the Menendez brothers who murdered their parents.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch are set to star as brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez while Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny are set to play José and Mary Louise "Kitty" Menendez. Starring alongside these actors is a cast that consists of Nathan Lane as Dominick Dunne, Ari Graynor as Leslie Abramson, Leslie Grossman as Judalon Smyth, Dallas Roberts as Dr. Jerome Oziel, Paul Adelstein as David Conn, Jason Butler Harner as detective Les Zoeller, Enrique Murciano as Carlos Baralt, Michael Gladis as Tim Rutten, Drew Powell as detective Tom Linehan, Charlie Hall as Craig Cignarelli, Gil Ozeri as Dr. William Vicary, Jeff Perry as Peter Hoffman, Tessa Auberjonois as Dr. Laurel Oziel, Tanner Stine as Perry Berman, Larry Clarke as Brian Andersen, Jade Pettyjohn as Jamie Pisarcik and Marlene Forte as Marta Cano.

During the actual court case years ago, brothers Lyle and Erik claimed that they murdered their parents out of fear. They stated that after years of being physically, emotionally and sexually abused by them, they took matters into their own hands. The prosecution argued that the brothers killed their parents to inherit their family estate. Currently, Lyle and Erik are serving life sentences without parole. Executive producing alongside Murphy and Brennan are Bardem, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, David McMillan, Louise Shore and Carl Franklin. Episodic directors include Brennan, Franklin, Max Winkler, Paris Barclay and Michael Uppendahl.
