TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. Unveils "Plainsong" SS25 Collection

TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist., the brainchild of designer Takahiro Miyashita, has revealed its Spring/Summer 2025 collection titled "Plainsong." The new line masterfully blends British sartorial tradition with contemporary flair, creating a striking visual narrative dominated by bold reds and deep blacks.

The collection's cornerstone is its reinterpretation of classic British outerwear. Iconic trench coats and tailored jackets are reimagined with Miyashita's distinctive touch, featuring orderly button arrangements that pay homage to the late designer Judy Blame. These pieces exude a sense of refined rebellion, marrying traditional silhouettes with edgy detailing.

In a surprising twist, Miyashita introduces a dose of Americana through vibrant Hawaiian shirt and shorts sets. One notable ensemble features a distorted musical staff pattern, cleverly tying into the collection's "Plainsong" theme. These pieces stand out with their eye-catching patterns reminiscent of American pop art, offering a playful contrast to the collection's predominantly British aesthetic.

Accessories play a crucial role in completing the "Plainsong" lookbook. Collaborations with KIJIMA TAKAYUKI and Spanish brand ELOSEGUI have resulted in beautifully crafted berets, further emphasizing the collection's European influences.

The TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. SS25 collection is set to launch soon, stay tuned.
