This week, fashion's biggest headlines covered famous collaborations, anniversary celebrations, ambassador appointments and financial reports.

Among the buzziest, Supreme began teasing a collaboration with Tyler, the Creator by first installing wheatpastings across London featuring the artist and later posting images of him wearing a green box-logo T-shirt on Instagram. Elsewhere, Jude Bellingham was named Louis Vuitton's latest "Friend of the House," and NIGO teamed up with Marc Jacobs to bring back the famous Superman Sweater from the '90s.

Down the line, PUMA's shares fell after the group narrowed its 2024 profit forecasts; SEVENTEEN's MINGYU starred in Calvin Klein's Fall 2024 campaign, and On reported record revenues and profit in the second quarter of this year.

Below, Hypebeast has rounded up the top fashion stories of the week so you can stay up to date on trends in the industry.

Tyler, the Creator Links With Supreme

Ahead of the release of its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, Supreme began fueling fan fever on Tuesday with a new set of wheatpastings starring Tyler, the Creator. Spotted around Brick Lane in London, the images saw the Call Me If You Get Lost artist posing in a green box logo T-shirt, hiding a signature colorful scarf around his neck and accessorized with a brown top-tied hat.

Shortly after fans spotted the wheatpastings, Supreme took to its Instagram to share the photos in high resolution, revealing that they were shot by photographer Luis Perez, who previously shot the campaign for Tyler’s Louis Vuitton collaboration.

It’s unclear whether Tyler is partnering with the streetwear stalwart to design parts of the forthcoming collection or if he’s merely the star of the brand’s FW24 campaign, but many would argue that a collaboration between Supreme and the rapper is long overdue.

Jude Bellingham Named Louis Vuitton's Newest "Friend of the House"

English footballer Jude Bellingham has officially signed on as Louis Vuitton’s newest “Friend of the House,” meaning he’ll embark on a “collaborative adventure” with the brand’s Pharrell-led menswear wing. In the role, Bellingham will appear in Louis Vuitton’s promotional imagery, sport the House’s designs during public appearances and attend the label’s events.

“It is such a pleasure to join the Louis Vuitton family,” Bellingham said in a statement. “Since I was young, I have always been attracted to the House. I am so happy to continue building a relationship with Pharrell whose work I truly admire.”

Bellingham, Real Madrid’s top league scorer and this year’s La Liga Player of the Season, attended Pharrell’s debut Spring/Summer 2024 show for Louis Vuitton last summer. On the partnership, Pharrell said, “I’m excited to welcome Jude to the House. His charismatic personality and what he has already achieved on his inspiring journey will add so much to our LVers community,” which already includes names like Pusha T, Carlos Alcaraz and Victor Wembanyama.

Marc Jacobs' 40th-anniversary has been filled with celebratory collaborations, relaunches and buzzy internet moments. His latest party trick came this week, in the form of a team-up with NIGO to reinvent the famous Superman Sweater from Jacobs' 1990 collection.

Made new for today, the fresh take on the archival sweater features a bright blue facade composed of a knit mixture of alpaca and wool. Superman's signature shield is positioned right in the center of the body, in the same textile.

PUMA Shares Fell to Six-Year Low After Group Narrowed 2024 Profit Forecast

German sportswear label PUMA saw its share price fall to a six-year low, after the company narrowed its profit forecast for the year due to “cautious consumer sentiment and higher freight costs” earlier this week, according to MarketWatch.

In its latest earnings report, the group projected that its full-year profit would tally between €620 million EUR and €670 million EUR, down from its original estimate of €700 million EUR. As a result, PUMA’s shares dropped by 13% to reach €36.20 EUR, a 30% decrease across the year.

In the second quarter, the company reported a 2.1% increase in currency-adjusted sales to reach €2.12 billion EUR. Profit, before interest and tax, was up by 1.6% at €117 million, though the figure still fell below analyst expectations, per Fashion United. On a regional basis, sales in the Americas climbed 9%, while revenues in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa were down by 4.3%.

SEVENTEEN's MINGYU Fronts Calvin Klein's Fall 2024 Campaign

In the midst of preparations for his 17 Is Right Here tour, K-pop star MINGYU of SEVENTEEN has landed a starring role in Calvin Klein’s Fall 2024 campaign. Shot by fashion photographer Park Jong Ha and directed by AJ Dean, the sartorial delivery sees the artist sporting the brand’s signature apparel, which includes outerwear, jeans, underwear and more.

Calvin Klein took to Instagram on Thursday to share a montage of MINGYU posing and dancing in a blue-yellow studio, as part of the campaign’s rollout. “MINGYU feels denim energy. The look is laidback and timeless.,” they captioned the post.

Hypebeast sat down with MINGYU to discuss the campaign's creation, his personal styler and what he has planned next with SEVENTEEN. Read the full conversation here.
