ITV Corrie fans 'work out' Cassie's sinister plan for Ken - and he needs to get out fast
Coronation Street fans have ‘worked out’ what Cassie Plummer he up her sleeve for Ken Barlow - and it’s not looking good.
The character, played by Claire Sweeney, first rocked up to the cobbles in 2023 as the estranged mum of Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). And it didn’t take long for her to become a firm favourite, and involved in some drama.
In the soap recently, Ken Barlow (William Roache) suffered a nasty fall, which resulted in him needing a carer for his injuries. The cost of a professional carer proved too steep for the Barlow family.
As a result, they recruited Cassie Plummer despite lacking formal qualifications. However, she did share that she had some experience when caring for an ex-boyfriend.
Since then, Cassie has been caring for Ken, amid the romantic tension between herself and his son-in-law Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).

Cassie has been caring for Ken (Image: ITV)However, during Tuesday’s episode (August 14) Cassie and Steve were back playfully feuding - but Cassie appeared to take it too far when she smashed Steve’s favourite’s mug.
Fuming, he lashed out at Cassie - and she later informed him she was going to quit working for Ken. However, later on, Cassie went to see Ken, who was on the phone to someone important.
Cassie’s ears soon perked, as she heard that Ken had won £50,00 thanks to his investment.

Making herself known, and appearing to backtrack on quitting, Cassie then offered to make Ken a cup of tea before smirking to herself in the kitchen.
Now, viewers are convinced Cassie has a sinister plan ahead for Ken. On social media, one person said: “Oh Cassie will be all over Ken now she’s heard all that.” A second wrote: “Please gosh, don’t tell me Cassie is gonna swindle Ken, cause we do not need this!! Get out while you can Ken.” (sic)
A third proclaimed: “Just when I was starting to like Cassie, she’s going to bleed Ken dry.” As another person said: “Uh oh cue Cassie doing god knows what to get her hands on Ken's 50k.” (sic)
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
