Paul Burchill Signs Exclusive Deal With NWA

Paul Burchill is the latest star to sign an exclusive deal with the NWA. The NWA announced on Saturday night that the WWE alumnus has signed on with the company.

The National Wrestling Alliance has signed Burchill to an exclusive contract. After a five-year pro wrestling hiatus, the world-traveled competitor made his NWA debut in 2023, quickly becoming a top contender to the National Title.

“After wrestling around the globe, the National Wrestling Alliance is now Burchill’s home,” says NWA Chief Operating Officer Joe Galli of the signing.

“We are very excited Burchill will remain part of National Wrestling Alliance programming and our locker room,” continues Galli. “The NWA prides itself on presenting a mix of up-and-coming talent and seasoned veterans. We feel Burchill’s experience can help us shape younger wrestlers into the stars of tomorrow.”

Over his 20-year career, Burchill held the coveted OVW title and competed against the WWE’s top stars. During an extended break from wrestling, he worked as a firefighter and EMT before returning to the ring last year.

Early in 2024, he unsuccessfully challenged then-champion Silas Mason for the National Title. Now with a new contract, it’s likely Burchill will again target NWA gold. The hunt could begin Aug. 31 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

Burchill is confirmed for NWA 76, a celebration of the National Wrestling Alliance’s 1948 founding. His opponent has not yet been announced.
