Bruno Fernandes has ended transfer speculation by agreeing to a new Manchester United contract, according to reports. Erik ten Hag and INEOS have been handed an almighty boost at the start of the new season, with the Red Devils captain set to commit his future in the coming weeks.
Fernandes had been the subject of exit rumours after United failed to qualify for European football with a record-low eighth-place Premier League finish last term.
But he played a crucial role in May's memorable FA Cup triumph over Manchester City, a day after insisting that he wanted to stay at Old Trafford in a passionate open letter to supporters.

Fernandes signed a new contract in April 2022 worth around £220,000 a week, which ran until 2026 with the option of a further 12 months.
But his fresh terms, which will deservedly propel him among United's top earners, are said to be valid until 2027 with the same one-year extension option included.
The report adds that Fernandes will put pen to paper on his new contract before the summer transfer window slams shut on August 30.

Last season, he was seventh while Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial were in Ten Hag's squad, despite his reputation as the club's talisman since his January 2020 arrival.
Fernandes has scored 79 goals and registered 66 assists in 233 United appearances, lifting the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in the last two seasons.
His commitment is the latest indicator of the exciting vision that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have laid out since coming into power in February.
