Alan Titchmarsh asks Annette Badland cheeky question

Alan Titchmarsh left his ITV Love Your Weekend guest blushing as he asked her a cheeky question. Midsomer Murders star Annette Badland appeared on Sunday's (August 11) repeat episode of the programme.

The actress discussed working on crime series and the presenter couldn't help up ask which famous face she'd like to see join the cast of the hit show.

Alan asked Annette: "OK, you're in Midsomer. you pull back the sheets, who do you resally want to see there? After some consideration, she replied: "Tom Hardy."

The hot said: "Can I ask why?" Annette replied: "His acting ability" before letting out a giggle. Alan playfully responded: "I believe you."

It comes after Alan opened up about his 'heartbreaking' reason for leaving his family every Sunday night.

he renowned gardening guru, during a conversation with James O'Brien's Full Disclosure podcast in July 2023, confessed that his work commitments often kept him away from home for extended periods.

The 75-year-old shared with O'Brien that the most distressing part of departing his family on Sunday nights was bidding his daughters goodnight.

He revealed: "It's not something I wanted but it was at a time in my career where I knew it had to be done. The girls would be sort of 10,11 that kind of age.

"I would go away on a Sunday evening and come back later in the weekend. I do remember the heartbreaking thing of kissing one of them goodnight and them asking 'will you be here in the morning?'.

"I knew I wouldn't and that was really hard of course. I did say, I mean every weekend, it's not as if I'm in the army going away for three months or a year or whatever, so that was my excuse."
