Alice Beers and Sharon Marshall storm the This Morning set

This Morning descended into delightful mayhem as two of the show's regulars burst onto the set in an unexpected frenzy.

Alice Beer and Sharon Marshall couldn't resist joining in after witnessing TV chef Phil Vickery whip up a culinary delight in the kitchen alongside presenters Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle. The pair, not content with waiting for second helpings, stormed the ITV set to claim their sweet rewards without prior notice.

"They [the producers] said go in and get it out," Alice clarified, as Irish host Craig was determined not to let her abscond with Phil's Millie Feuille masterpiece.

In hot pursuit of Alice, the consumer expert who had dashed off with the dessert, Craig offered her a bowl of whipped cream as a consolation.

"Here, take the cream," he urged. Reclaiming his portion of the summery treat, Craig gallantly returned to his presenting duties while Josie quipped: "This pud certainly brings all the girls to the yard.", reports the Daily Star.

Generously offering her some remnants of pastry, he instructed: "Here you can take that with you and get out of here."

Taking pity on Alice, Phil offered: "Come here Alice, I'll cut you a slice," which prompted Josie to call out: "Come on Sharon, come and get some."

Sharon quickly materialized, armed with a utensil to secure her piece of the pudding. Amidst the uproarious scene, Josie humorously remarked: "This desert definitely brings all the girls to the yard."

Earlier on the show, This Morning hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle left viewers gobsmacked by dropping the 'c-bomb' live on air. The sound of jingle bells filled the studio as the Bristolian and Irish presenter teased the upcoming Christmas segment for Wednesday's (August 7) programme.

Josie queried, "What's that? No surely, it's not? " while Craig chimed in with, "Either my ears are ringing or it's that time of year again," hinting at the festive season's early arrival on the show.

Viewers were less than pleased, taking to social media now known as Twitter to voice their identical grievance. Many pleaded with producers to allow them to savour the remaining days of summer.

One irate viewer exclaimed on Twitter, "#ThisMorning omg on about Christmas already are u lot on drugs," while another echoed the sentiment, "Christmas? Isn't it currently still Summer right now + we're in August as well. #ThisMorning."

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV, from 10am
