PSP deploys over 40 officers in latest Operation Thunder

The Public Security Police Force (PSP) is intensifying its efforts in “Operation Thunder 2024,” aimed at enhancing public safety. On Aug. 5 and 6, 44 officers conducted inspections across multiple hotels and increased patrols in the Coloane area, focusing on intercepting suspicious individuals. During the operation, 117 individuals were checked, with no illegal activities reported. Vehicle inspections led to 29 stops, resulting in one prosecution for lack of insurance. PSP officials emphasize that car inspection operations are carried out to prevent and combat various illegal activities and criminal activities.
